About Skye
My name is Heather but my online nickname is Skye. I'm a 22 year old female residing in Florida, United States. I'm short, pale, brunette, and most people either describe me as cute or geeky. That'd be me. I'm the one in the car next to you, singing the song on the radio at full blast. I'm the girl in line behind you reading a book to pass the wait time.
I'm obsessed with most things creative. Singing, reading, writing, drawing, designing, coding, photographing, etc. etc. etc. In return I've given up on pretty much everything athletic. It was a good trade, IMO.
I'm a student at Florida Atlantic University, studying Elementary Education. I have about a year and a half of torture left before I graduate. But enough of that.
I have an old video from when I was born. The first time my Grampa held me, he said "my little chickadee, chickadee" and he continued to call me that for years. Likewise, I thought the name was fitting of my personal blog.

About the Layout
I was inspired by layouts with a background design. Some had flowers that faded in or swirls, which I knew I couldn't do because my type of art never transfers well into web design. But then I saw one on a travel site that used polaroids and I knew I had found a way to accomplish this style.
The tag up top is from PS Hero, a really cool site that shows you how to make things like that in Photoshop. I took the easy way out and used his free download of the tag. The wood pattern is from a set called Sue's Wood Patterns. Download it if you're intrested in wood backgrounds; it comes with lots of different wood patterns.
And, the pictures. Photobooth strip on the left is Michael and I. Note his Coldplay concert T-shirt *big smile*. Below that is a picture of my mom holding me when I was a baby. I love that picture so much that I drew a version of it back in 2005. On the right side, the top picture is of Mike's cat Jasmine with my dog Bear; they're so cute together! Below that is a photobooth strip of my cousin Noelle and I back at the beginning of 2009. We have a tradition where we get photobooth pictures every New Years.
